The Etharius platform was built in 2001 as a simple content management system for a website. Our property investment client needed to update their online portfolio regularly so we created a simple Access database and connected it to a website built in .asp, then added a control panel to make quick and easy changes. Once that was possible, the system grew as fast as our imaginations, with client management facilities, stock systems and eventually a custom eCommerce suite. 

Revolutionising an Industry

In 2010, we created the first online sales system specifically built to handle cut-length textile sales in multiple currencies, with custom pricing allowable per rage, per customer, along with stock control, piece management and live shipping quotes. This remains our biggest product and powers multiple major marques in the space.

Today, the system runs on .NET and MS SQL - secure, powerful, highly optimised and used by companies with a global reach. 

Infrastructure

Our servers are wholly owned, not rented, complete with a suite of available configuration options. We run both Microsoft and Linux (AlmaLinux) servers that are backed up daily for peace of mind. 

For the sake of security, outside access to maintenance is restricted to two office locations that are secured against outside threats by hardware and software solutions. Our clients rely on us to keep them secure, and it is our number one priority.

We keep our hardware in a UK-based server centre accessible to our engineers in under an hour, and by on-site staff within 5 minutes. The connection is one of the UK's super-fast T1 pipelines with multiple redundancies built in to ensure an industry leading uptime.
