THE UK ANIME NETWORK MAGAZINE
The UK Anime Network has been running since 1995, which at three decades old, makes it one of the oldest pop-culture websites in the world, pre-dating even the Anime News Network.
Set up by Ross Locksley, who remains the Senior Editor, the hugely popular Japanese culture website has seen many changes over the years, eventually being folded in to Etharius Ltd to protect the content and act as a testbed for our latest code.
With millions of views a month, the site has to perform, so it runs our proprietary .NET Content Management System on our Nottingham based servers, which are connected to a T1 internet pipeline.
A SPRINGBOARD FOR TALENT
Technical aspects aside, we're very proud of the UK Anime Network. Over its years of operation, it's been privileged to host the work of a number of future Editors, game producers and anime industry professionals. The site isn't run for profit, but is instead open for anyone who wants to write about their passion, but forth their views on a hot-button topic or even just gain some work experience attending events and interviewing the talents that bring entertainment to life.
WORKING WITHIN THE INDUSTRY
The site also formed a pivotal launchpad for Etharius - we've worked with major anime distributors both in the UK and internationally. To this day, MVM Entertainment has been one of our retainer clients, the relationship spanning almost 20 years.
